Edible insects taste better than chips!”

If you like bread or roasted beans, you will likely also like the natural taste of roasted, ready-to-eat edible insects. The seasoned insect snacks' taste was breathtakingly delicious, and I didn't expect worms to taste like cotton candy or gingerbread.

But Party Bugs roasted and seasoned crickets and mealworms are the tastiest. I could eat them all day, every day.

The healthier and tastier snacks!

Would you like to have gently flavored roasted crickets on your salad or find an alternative to popcorn as your flick company? How about kick-starting a party with HOT and SPICY crickets?

There are many reasons to eat bugs.

Did you know that edible grasshoppers have more antioxidants than oranges!
(Di Mattia et al., 2019)

Crickets and other edible insects are a superfood! In roasted insects, 60-70% of the net dry weight is cricket protein. They also contain a lot of healthy fats and micronutrients like iron, magnesium, and zinc.

When eating insect snacks, you don’t need to fear trans fats and carbohydrates!

Edible insects are a delicacy with a great history

Entomophagy, which describes eating insects by humans, has long traditions and has always been around. Ancient Romans and Greeks luxuriated with edible insects. Aristotle feasted on the song cicadas, and Pliny the Elder was crazy about the beetle larvae. Cockchafers were considered a delicacy in FranceGermanyItalyMoldova, and Wallachia long until the 20th century. French people still crunch edible grasshoppers between wine glasses.

Every year we all eat at least half a kilo of insects hidden inside and as a part of our everyday food.

Insect consumption is common in 80% of the world, and 2 billion people feast on edible insects. Their insect food recipes are waiting for you!

It is indeed a paradox that people in Western countries value other sides of the ancient culture. Still, the habit of luxuriating with edible bugs has not received the attention it deserves.

Trendy Cooking

Edible bugs crawl into cocktails of the trendiest Hollywood parties, and big supermarket chains introduce new insect snack brands.

Start your gourmet trip to the insect food wonderland and buy the highest quality insects from Bǚg Bazaar.

And don’t forget our insect powders for cooking and baking!

Not that expensive protein

Dried insects and insect flours contain 60 – 70% protein, 3–4 times more than fresh meat or ready-to-cook vegetarian meat substitutes. One can easily calculate and conclude that a kilo of protein costs about the same whether you buy good quality beef, vegetarian meat substitutes, or dry insect products.

Food for Future

Insects can be grown sustainably, very efficiently, and have a much higher food conversion rate than conventional livestock. Production hygiene is very high as the production becomes increasingly automatized. The circular economy principles can be followed as insects can be fed with the leftover vegetarian feed from food production.
